The polka dot obsession continues… a little bit Princess Diana, a little bit Vivian from Pretty Woman (obviously minus all the very non #MeToo undertones), a lot fun, flirty and frivolous. We didn’t actually do any stomping of the divots at this weekend’s Lancôme's polo at Dubai Equestrian & Polo Club, mainly because a sandstorm was raging (those are not deliberate beach waves, simply the product of half the desert blowing at 30mph into my hair), but just in case I wore my trusty 3-inch block heeled Gucci Marmont sandals (old, but available in black here). This dress is about as low cut as I can manage without going the full Pammy Anderson (a strategic safety pin was deployed) and required the most plunging of my plunge bras. It’s really hard to marry decent support with a dramatically dipped bra, but this one is the best I have found.
Sizing: The dress is cut loose, with an empire line drawstring, I sized down with an Aussie 8. Shoes come up big, I went down half a size to 38.5. Bra sizing may be TMI but sometimes it feels like I spend half my life trying to find decent bras, so sharing the hard-won knowledge seems only fair. No one ever believes me when I tell them my bra size because I hide it pretty well, via excellent bras. This one’s a 32F. I know. Que sera.
